When anxiety starts making the decisions
Anxiety can show up as persistent worry, avoidance, feeling on alert, difficulty tolerating uncertainty, or getting caught in patterns that offer short-term relief but keep you feeling restricted. Therapy can help you understand those patterns and practice responding in ways that support your values and goals.
A collaborative, individualized approach
Our work begins with understanding what you are experiencing, what you've already tried, and what you want to be able to do differently. Depending on your needs, treatment may draw on evidence-based anxiety interventions, acceptance-based strategies, and other approaches suited to your goals.
Where EMDR may fit
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured psychotherapy approach that may be appropriate for some concerns, including certain trauma-related difficulties. It isn't necessary or suitable for every client, and we would discuss clinical fit and readiness together before deciding whether to use it.
When OCD is the primary concern, OCD-specific treatment such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) remains central; EMDR is not a substitute for evidence-based OCD treatment.
Start with a conversation
You don't have to know which approach you need before reaching out. We can talk about what brings you to therapy and consider whether working together may be a fit.
