Fees & frequently asked questions

Practical details, made clear.

A few answers to help you decide whether taking the next step feels right for you.

What is the session fee?

Individual therapy sessions are $165 for 50 minutes.

Do you accept insurance?

Room to Be Therapy is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible to submit a superbill for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan and are not guaranteed; you are responsible for confirming your benefits with your insurer.

Helpful questions to ask your insurance company include:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient psychotherapy?
  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?
  • What is my coinsurance or reimbursement rate after the deductible?
  • What documentation do you need from me to request reimbursement, and which psychotherapy billing code applies to my sessions?

Who can you work with?

Services are for adults age 18 and older who are physically located in Colorado during telehealth sessions. Clinical fit and availability are considered individually.

Are sessions online or in person?

Services are offered online to adults located throughout Colorado. In-person sessions are not currently advertised.

What is your cancellation and missed-session policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are charged the full session fee. The policy will also be provided in the practice paperwork before therapy begins.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care if you are uninsured or choose not to use insurance to pay for services. You can request an estimate before scheduling or beginning services. I will provide a Good Faith Estimate when required by law, including upon request and when scheduling services as applicable.

If you receive a bill from a provider that is at least $400 more than that provider’s Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. Keep a copy of your estimate. For more information, visit CMS’s No Surprises Act information page.

Client Access

The secure client portal link for existing clients will be added here before the practice opens for appointments. If you are an existing client and need help accessing your portal in the meantime, please email emily@roomtobetherapyco.com. Please do not include sensitive clinical details in email.

What happens in a consultation?

The free, brief phone consultation is an opportunity to ask initial questions, share a little about what brings you to therapy, and explore whether working together may be a fit. It is not a therapy session or emergency service.

How do I schedule?

Online booking for free phone consultations will be available closer to launch. In the meantime, you can email emily@roomtobetherapyco.com with general questions. For your privacy, please avoid including sensitive personal or mental health details in email.
